Tutoring is one of the main activities of the EduPlace club. Older students, peer-to-peer or alumni→current — you'll find the match that fits you. Lessons happen at CowoHC in Hořice or online from across Czechia.
Pick whichever suits you.
In-person lessons at CowoHC. Quiet, good desks, Wi-Fi, coffee included. For shorter commutes and deeper focus.
Video call with integrated scheduling and material sharing. For students who are far away or short on travel time.
The club connects different student generations — always with the emphasis that the tutor was recently on the same path.
University students tutor high schoolers, high schoolers tutor primary. Up-to-date knowledge, close memory.
A classmate is sharper at something — why not use it? Mutual tutoring within the same year.
Graduates help those still going through. Real-world practice + fresh memory of the curriculum.
Tutoring runs within the club's member section — sign up and pick a role (or both).
If you're a student wanting to monetize your knowledge, the club gives you the full technical backbone. No website, invoicing or scheduling chores.
Maturita, entrance exams, written test, semester project? Find a student who has just been there — often cheaper and clearer than a pro.
Pick a role (tutor / learner / both), create a profile. No commitment, free to register.
Learners browse the directory and book. Tutors get notified and confirm the slot.
Lesson happens (on-site or online), payment is released to the tutor afterwards, both rate.
The tutor sets the hourly rate. The club takes a small fee for matchmaking and the technical service.
You keep 85 % of every lesson. The club takes 15 % for operations, invoicing, support.
Lesson cost depends on the tutor — typically CZK 200–500/h depending on subject, level, experience.
For on-site tutoring in Hořice, membership is convenient — you get study room access between lessons too. For online tutoring, membership isn't required, just a free signup.
After every lesson, learners rate. Tutored hours are visible, profile shows subjects and level. For younger tutors, we recommend listing class/year and current grades in the subject.
Tutors under 18 require parental consent. Payouts go to the parent's account. We handle GDPR and tax aspects within the club.
Learner pays by card upfront via Stripe. The club holds payment in escrow until the lesson ends. Then the payment is released to the tutor (minus the club fee). Tutor payouts go out once a month.
Sure. The profile supports any number of subjects, each with its own rate. You could tutor maths at CZK 250/h for primary and programming at CZK 500/h for university.
Online — yes (across CZ and abroad). On-site lessons happen primarily at CowoHC in Hořice, but agreeing on another place is possible — that's between you and the learner outside the system.
